Staged for 12 editions since 1992, MODERN RAILWAYS has become No. 1 railway show in Asia, playing an important role in promoting international railway exchanges and cooperation, and offered an ideal platform for railway enterprises from both at home and abroad.
The last edition, MODERN RAILWAYS 2014, held from the 28th to 31st of October 2014, occupied CIEC’s 6 halls of some 20,000 square meters, and attracted 263 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions and nearly 27,000 trade visitors.
In line with the demands of the Chinese railway development and under the theme of “China’s railway going global”, MODERN RAILWAYS 2016 will attach importance to the display of innovative results on transport safety, operational management, engineering construction and related technology and equipment.

What’s New for 2016
The exhibition area of International Railway Cooperation and China’s Railway Accomplishments will feature the results of “go global” of the Chinese railway. CHINA RAILWAY will showcase the fruitful results out of “going global” together with China Railway Consortium.

China International Exhibition Center (http://www.ciec-expo.com), better known as CIEC for short, is located at No. 6 East Beisanhuan Road, Beijing. Founded in 1985, CIEC has even since been the venue for more than 1,000 exhibitions, covering a total floor space of over 11 million square meters and promoting trade valued at RMB 500 billion yuan. Today, 100 trade shows totaling 1 million square meters are staged at CIEC every year.

MODERN RAILWAYS 2014
MODERN RAILWAYS 2014 was held at China International Exhibition Center, Beijing, from the 28th to 31st of October 2014. The exhibition, occupying 6 halls of some 20,000 square meters, attracted 263 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions and nearly 27,000 trade visitors.
The well-known exhibitors included the 18 regional railway administrations under CHINA RAILWAY, CARS, CSR, CNR, China Railway Signal & Communication, Bombardier, Siemens, Alstom, GE, Knorr-Bremse, Faiveley and CASCO. Themed at Innovation and Development of Railway Industry, the exhibitors focused on displaying the world’s latest technology and equipment on Transport Safety, Operation Management, Engineering Construction and Equipment Manufacturing.
