Dear visitors,
Modern Railways 2010 will concurrently be held with the 7th World Congress on High Speed Rail at China National Convention Center, Beijing, December 6-9, 2010. With “innovative high-speed railway technology” as its theme, the exhibition will showcase not only China’s innovative railway technology but also the world’s up-to-date technology and equipment, being one of highlights of the event.
The new CRH 380, setting the highest operation speed of 416.6 km/h on the Shanghai Hangzhou High-speed Railway on September 28, 2010, will be on display outside the exhibition center, enabling the visitors to be closest to the world’s fastest train.
In the area of China’s Innovations on Railway Technology, visitors can witness the process of automatic ticket issuing and automatic fare collection. The sand tables of Beijing-Shanghai and Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railways, Beijing South Railway Station, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, Da-Qin Heavy-haul Railway and Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the models of CRH high-speed trains, Hexie Type high-power electrical and diesel locomotives and C70 and C80 freight wagons, together with the dynamic and static models of high-speed railway construction and maintenance including track slab production and installation, bridge transportation and erection, tamping machine, rail grinding machine and tunnels, will help visitors learn about the latest developments of the Chinese Railways. If you are interested in driving or distributing a high-speed train, please try the high speed driving and distributing simulation system. Real high speed bogie, IGBT, GSM-R, CTCS-3 and overhead contact line system will draw the attention of professional visitors.
