Preface

The World Congress on High Speed Rail, initiated and organized by the International Union of Railways (UIC) since 1992, has now become the leading global event for showcasing and dedicating to the developments and achievements of the worldwide high speed rail. The 7th World Congress on High Speed Rail, or UIC Highspeed 2010 (http://www.uic-highspeed2010.com.cn), to be held at China National Convention Center (CNCC), Beijing, China, December 7-9, 2010, will invite high-level offi cials from international railway organizations and railway authorities in different countries, senior management of global railway giants and high-speed railway experts and scholars. Between the 5th and 6th of December, 2010, UIC Executive Board Meeting and General Assembly will be held.

In support of the 7th World Congress on High Speed Rail, Modern Railways 2010 will be held from the 6th to 9th of December, 2010, sharing the same venue with the congress.

As the only large international railway exhibition approved and fully supported by Ministry of Railways (MOR) and Ministry of Commerce (MOC), P. R. China, Modern Railways is now an ideal platform for the manufacturers from the world railways to showcase their up-to-date technologies and equipment, promote their corporate images, understand the requirements of China's railway development, seek partners, and develop the market.

Exhibition Theme

Modern Railways 2010 will showcase fruitful achievements on high speed rail construction and technological innovation of the Chinese Railways, as well as advanced technologies and equipment of different countries.

Exhibition Venue

Capturing the heart precinct of Beijing Olympic Green, CNCC is right next to the Bird Nest (China National Stadium for the opening and closing ceremony of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games), the Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) and National Indoor Stadium. During the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, this center served as the Main Press Center (MPC) and the International Broadcasting Center (IBC). The plenary hall on CNCC's fourth floor was the site for fencing and shooting, and the Paralympics used the ballroom section as the site for Wheelchair Fencing and Boccie. With 60,000 square meters of multifunction meeting space and 24,000 square meters of exhibition space, CNCC will be an ideal venue for the 7th World Congress on High Speed Rail and Modern Railways 2010.

Booth

Standard Booth (min. 12 sqm and in multiples of 3):  RMB 3,515 or €370/sqm
Basic fittings for the ready-for-display Standard Booth include partition walls up to 3 sides, carpet, fascia
